- What constitutes an “Infectious Disease”?
- We consider an infectious disease to mean an illness or disease transmitted from human-to-human or animal-to-human, caused by a virus, bacterium, fungus, parasite or protozoan microparasite (amoeba).
- Does this product cover Business Interruption?
- No
- Does the insurance cover animal / herd outbreaks?
- No – We do not currently offer coverage for this exposure.
- Can this product be used to cover food manufacturers?
- No – Product contamination arising from infectious disease should be covered under a separate Products Liability policy.
